MAXI

Monitor of All-sky X-ray Image (MAXI) is monitoring the all-sky in X-ray since 2009. MAXI is attached to the Japanese Experimental Module (JEM) of the International Space Station (ISS). MAXI scans the all-sky every 90 min. The AGU Yoshida-lab involves in the development and the operation of one of the X-ray camera, Gas Slit Camera (GSC), of MAXI.

Projects

Swift/BAT and MAXI/GSC Broadband Transient Monitor

Swift/BAT monitors the sky in the 15-200 keV band thanks to its wide field of view (1.4 sr). On the other hand,the MAXI GSC monitors the all-sky in the 2-20 keV band every 90 min. Our transient monitor combines the data of the Swift/BAT and MAXI/GSC data to cover the broad spectral coverage of 2-200 keV for known 106 high energy transient sources. The paper explainig about our pipeline has been accepted for publication in PASJ.

MAXI/GSC X-ray Burst Catalog (not been updated since 2015)

This is the first X-ray burst catalog observed by MAXI GSC for last six years of its operation. The pipleline is developed by Yoshida-lab's graduate student, Hikaru Otsuki. This pipeline uses the MAXI on-demand process and the GSC event data stored at RIKEN.
